ELASTICA_48
SAPeriod. | Installation (Group Show)

Elastica is a self-supporting, form-active structure that explores the spatial patterns of nested and woven elastica curves. The project’s line work and patterning is both figural and structural, drawing inspiration from patterns and textures in nature. The project is one of a series of Glass Fibre-Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) rod constructions developed by the designer, each of which employs a different typological geometry. All fiberglass rods in Elastica have a constant dimension of 1/16” diameter and 48” length.
