Bending-active systems provide a variety of shape-controlled geometries with elastic deformations that are adaptive and reversible. Research of form-active prototypes is pursued in this study as an exploration into kinetic systems. Studies explore ranges of dynamic motion, self-stabilization and aggregate geometries.
Research is part of an ongoing study of a deployable indoor farming strategy discussed in Form-Finding of an Ecological “Green” Wall Using Bending-Active Biotensegrity Structure.
